How it began…
Hi! I’m Teela Bieschke, the owner of Yukon Tails Mobile Pet Grooming. I am a born and raised Alaskan with a passion for pets and my community. I am a very ambitious and organized individual who is always continuing to learn and grow.
I chose the name Yukon Tails because I spent many summers as a child on the Yukon River at my paternal grandparents’ fish camp and have the fondest memories of that special place. I have an immense passion for pets and their well-being, and I understand how important a pet can be to their owners.
Before my elderly dog passed away, I attempted to hire a mobile groomer because of her mobility issues and was never able to get her scheduled due to no availability. I realized there is an ongoing need for mobile pet grooming services in the area, and I know based on my personal experience and research that this is something that the community needs.
I have recently completed my grooming certification and am currently working with a few mentors to learn as much as I can about grooming!
Nakia has recently relocated to Alaska from Ohio with her puppy. She has over ten years of grooming experience. In the past she has been a teacher for new groomers and has enjoyed doing show grooming. Nakia is also a dog trainer and groomer at another pet facility here in the valley when she isn’t grooming with us. She enjoys taking hikes with her pup and exploring Alaska. She does amazing grooms and has so much knowledge about pets and their well being. She brings her expertise to whatever she is doing and it shows!
A little bit about our groomers…
Morgan is a born and raised Alaskan. She lives here in Wasilla with her husband and two fur babies. She has over eight years of grooming experience and a HUGE passion for dogs. She enjoys getting out and enjoying this beautiful place we call home and always has her pups in tow on whatever adventure she is headed to, even kayaking. She is enjoying the mobile grooming setting and does the cutest of cute haircuts!
Aspen grew up in Palmer and lives there with her fur baby. She works with us part time and the rest of her time is spent with the State of Alaska Forestry Division. She has over five years of grooming experience and is an avid animal lover. She loves to hike with her pup as much as she can and likes to paint in her spare time. She is enjoying the mobile grooming setting and does really cute haircuts! She also enjoys grooming cats.
